To kick off the Spring semester, we are featuring Sreya Bhattacharya ’16.  Sreya is the chair of Cluster G ’16 and served as a PA for the incoming class of J-term students.  Read on to learn more about her experience at CBS thus far.

sreyaWhy did you choose to come to CBS?

I loved New York and when I visited CBS I fell in love with the campus and felt so welcomed by all the amazing people I met that I knew this would be my new home!

What has been your favorite moment at CBS so far?

Fall Break with my Greeks Gods in the Dominican Republic and the Lighthouse with my Zorros 🙂

What has been your favorite class or professor at CBS thus far and why?

Macroeconomics (GEE) – I felt like I learnt the most from the class. I loved that I could read The Economic Times and relate them to things I had learnt in class.

What does being a CBS Woman mean to you?

It means knowing that I am never alone.  I can always count on someone having my back if I really need it.

What woman (CBS or not) inspires you?

Professor Akinola – she is such an energetic person and has one of the most interesting career paths of anyone I have met.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at CBS?

Getting to know the different kinds of people that come to CBS in every term. We at CBS have the advantage of new students coming into school each semester.

What’s something most of your CBS classmates would be surprised to know about you?

When I was younger, I was petrified of public speaking or being in front of an audience to the point that I would fall sick.

If you could be anyone other than yourself, who would you be?
